Meat & Me

Rockville,Maryland Book Signing

I got to the book signing 20 minutes later then I wanted. But that is what
I get for having my husband drive me. When I got there the line was already
down the steps. I really don't do steps well & was a bit nervous at this point.
But then I saw Patti Seratte at the top of the stairs. I took the escalator up
to say Hi & Patti came to my rescue. she let me stand with her. Thanks Patti..
While we waited for Meat they were playing the Storyteller CD They had the
store decked out in Meat.. One thing Patti & I both noticed they had RHPS on
the TV monitor in the kids book section..

Meat was brought in by some people from the local radio station. While the DJ
talked a bit & did the intro's Meat was walking around a bit.

Then the time came to finally meet him. There were two ladies in front of us (who
looked liked they were dressed up for a business meeting who ere very annoying ).
When it was my turn this guy helping took my books & CD and handed them to Meat.
While another guy took my camera, so he could take my Picture with Meat. I sure
hope it comes out. While Meat was signing I finally got to tell him "Thank You Meat
for saving my Life". At this point Meat asked if I had Low blood sugar( he must have
seen my medical alert bracelet). I said No & told him very fast about my car doing
the 360. Then I slipped in my 1999 tour book and asked if he would sign it. He saw I
had Tom & Ray's autographs on it & I told him I went to a show they did this summer.
From which Meat joked a bit..

Meat seemed a bit nervous. But considering book signings are very spontaneous
(& not rehearsed ); it was easy to see were any person would be nervous.
